{"id":246,"date":"2011-10-21T14:23:47","date_gmt":"2011-10-21T14:23:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kidsengineer.com\/?p=246"},"modified":"2011-10-21T15:01:33","modified_gmt":"2011-10-21T15:01:33","slug":"pk-to-grade-6-curriculum-maps-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kidsengineer.com\/?p=246","title":{"rendered":"PK to Grade 6 Elementary Engineering Curriculum Maps Available!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have finished the first drafts of Curriculum Maps, based on an <a title=\"Understanding By Design\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ubdexchange.org\/\">Understanding By Design <\/a>model,\u00a0 for a PK to Grade 6 robotics curriculum called the Elementary Engineering Curriculum based on BeeBots (PK-K), Lego Education WeDo (Grade 1-4), and Lego Education Mindstorms NXT (Grade 5-6).\u00a0 Grades K, 2, 4, and 6 have an open ended engineering challenge.\u00a0 The assessments need some work and the standards need to be double checked.\u00a0 The maps are aligned, where application to the new Massachusetts ELA and Math standards, which are nearly identical to the new US National Common Core Standards.\u00a0 I would be happy to answer any questions or fix any errors you find.
